Cumulus Coaching is Raewyn Laurenson's business.She is a qualified experienced workplace coach and counsellor who understands commercial realities, has a practical approach and is results-focussed.

Who is Cumulus?

Raewyn Laurenson has post-graduate qualifications in counselling and has managed her own business since 2002

Before setting up her own business Raewyn had 15 years experience in advising and counselling people at the top level of business including board members and Chief executives, in both Australia and New Zealand. She has worked in a wide range of sectors including education, health, not-for-profit organisations and public and private companies of all types and sizes.

Raewyn is based in Nelson but has managed projects nationally and is available to travel to your workplace.

How does Cumulus work?

Cumulus works one-to-one or with small groups. We use recognised therapies and tools to develop a unique programme that is delivered to an agreed time frame with regular progress reports. We always respect the confidentiality of our clients.

We deliver a professional, effective and confidential service with an emphasis on empathy and moving people forward.

We use recognised therapies and tools

Psychological coaching helps people identify and remove the psychological and behavioural blocks that prevent them from achieving their goals. This means unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance, helping them to learn rather than teaching them.

We use Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques, along with other short-term therapies and education.

We work out a plan and a timeframe

We start by getting a clear understanding of your expectations, for yourself or for the staff member you want us to work with. We then develop a plan and a time frame, and agree how often we will report to you on progress. Raewyn is the primary contact for Cumulus Coaching but can call on other expertise if required.

We guarantee confidentiality

Building a trusting relationship between the client and counsellor is the basis for success. This means that when we work with an individual staff member, we will not give the employer any personal details without the agreement of the staff member.

We can provide references

Raewyn has a sound reputation based on her experience and ability to judge the needs of individuals and businesses. A number of her clients will provide references on request.
